1.  Q:   What are the scholarship programs and incentives offered by the GSC for its students?

    A:    GSC offers several In-House Awards and Scholarships some of which are:

Dr. Peregrin P. De Guzman, Sr. Honors Society (PDG) – it gives due recognition to bonafide regular students of Good Samaritan Colleges who are top performers in their respective year levels or courses on a semestral basis.

Renato T. De Guzman Scholarship Program (RTG)– aims to provide indigent yet intellectually deserving students with the opportunity to widen their knowledge in the field of Nursing, Education and Allied Health Professions.

Catalina T. De Guzman Scholarship Program (CTG) – is an exclusive scholarship grant for students of Travel Management and Hotel Restaurant Management

2.  Q:   What are the requirements needed for me to avail the above-mentioned scholarships?

    A:    Dr. Peregrin P. De Guzman, Sr. Honors Society

Scholarship Categories
Gold Certificate – students with semestral general weighted average (GWA) of at least ninety percent (90%) and with no grade lower than eighty-eight percent (88%)

Tuition Discount:

    1. The student who ranks number one shall enjoy 100% tuition discount on his/her enrolment for the next semester.
    2. All other students who earned this scholarship shall enjoy 50% tuition discount.

Silver Certificate – students with semestral general weighted average (GWA) of at least eighty-eight percent (88%) and with no grade lower than eighty-five percent (85%)

Tuition Discount:
All students who earned this scholarship shall enjoy 30% tuition discount on their enrolment for the following semester.

Platinum Certificate – students who have been consistent members of the Honors Society, whether Gold or Silver Certificate, from his first semester until graduation.

The Platinum Certificate Award is given during the graduation ceremonies.

Documentary Requirements

    1. Photocopy of Form 138 (High School Card) or Form 137 (for Freshmen applicants only)
    2. Photocopy of Certification of Grades (for other applicants)
    3. Two (2) copies of recent 2x2 ID picture
    4. Completed Application Form
    5. Three (3) completed Letters of Recommendation
    6. Proof of income of parents or guardian supporting your studies (latest ITR or Certificate of Tax Exemption from BIR or Barangay)

Documentary Requirements

    1. Photocopy of Form 138 (High School Card) or Form 137 (for Freshmen applicants only)
    2. Photocopy of Certification of Grades (for other applicants)
    3. Two (2) copies of recent 2x2 ID picture
    4. Completed Application Form
    5. Three (3) completed Letters of Recommendation
    6. Proof of income of parents or guardian supporting your studies (latest ITR or Certificate of Tax Exemption from BIR or Barangay)

 

3.  Q:   Does GSC offer Student Assistantships Programs? If yes, what are the documentary requirements do I need to prepare before applying for the said program?

    A:    Yes, Good Samaritan Colleges offers Student Assistantship Program for qualified students every semester in accordance with the Student Affairs Office rules and regulations.
The following are the requirements:

Documentary Requirements

  1. Last year’s Income Tax Returns (ITR) of your parents or guardian (or Certificate of Tax Exemption from the BIR or Barangay Office)
  2. Latest Certification of Grades coming from the Registrar’s Office
  3. Certification of Good Moral Character from the Guidance Counseling and Testing Office
  4. Two (2) copies of 2x2 ID picture
